The noise is still there to a small extent, could be the other problems not yet done. When I started the car to go home the low tire light was on, I didn't go back because I needed to get home. I had it checked today at Costco, all tires were 36 #---he reset the computer.

My car was unable to declutchelp from the transmission. I took my car to Fisk Automotive on a suggestion from AAA. I left my car off at night and got a call the next morning. I let themail know the problem and was called the next day. I authorized them to pull my transmission. They found a broken clutch disk. They also replaced the motor mounts that I had purchased. The pulled the transmission, so they were already there. I met Jack and he is a nice guy. He seemed concerned about the work that was done. He was also concerned about problems I might have. If I have further problems I would definitely go back.

The interaction with and knowledge Chantal showed was beyond reproach. The building was immaculate. The lack of a TV in the waiting room and no A/C was surprising. 8^) Cannot really comment on work done since it was a 40 point check and oil change. Hard to disprove what was accomplished. Looked good from the counter in the office. Only negative but a big one: The quote I received to replace the serpentine belt was 6 times as much as another auto repair shop I stopped at on the way home.

Hi Bob, we took a survey in regards of having a TV and to our surprise most of the customers voted against it. They stated it made the waiting room more calm and peaceful. I'm very interested whom you retrieved the estimate for the belt. Our estimate was $150 parts & labor. If you got an estimate for $25 from a shop down the street, I'd question their integrity and where they source their parts from. If we are comparing apples to oranges then all estimate are on its own grounds. We appreciate the feedback, and hope we can earn your trust in the future. - Chantal

Thank you Fisk Automotive. I know that when I take my vehicle to Fisk, the job will be done right. Recently I brought my car in for an oil change. The mechanic was on his toes and spotted two problems that should be covered by warranty. They documented the problems and I had the repairs done at the dealership, yes under warranty. Had they not let me know about the problems, I could have ended up on the side of the road waiting for a tow. I recommend Fisk Auto every opportunity I get.

Fisk Automotive is a AAA-approved facility. I'd never been there before, but (about on May 14) AAA sent me there to get my AAA battery replaced. They had an AAA battery, already pre-charged, and after being told my experiences with my battery they immediately replaced it. It took about two hours. It helped that the batter was still within the "complete replacement" period. They were very pleasant to deal with, and their waiting area is clean and comfortable - plus they gave me a shopping bag and other free goodies!

My car's motor just stopped running while driving in rush hour traffic on the 91 freeway and was in and out of several other repair shops for over a month. The shop would replace some expensive electric part (crankshaft position sensor, camshaft sensor, fuel pump) and return the car to me as fixed. But the car would again just stop running within a few miles/minutes of the shop. Very frustrating and dangerous. Finally I had the car towed by AAA to Fisk. Fisk found the problem right away and fixed it! It was "dissolved" wire insulation within an engine control wiring harness allowing intermittent shorting/grounding of the signals. I give them the "Sherlock Ohms Award." A very clean shop and they didn't get grease all over the interior/exterior either. In the future, I will be having all repair work on my cars done by Fisk and I highly recommend them to everybody.

RR, You make sound like it was an easy fix, but our Master Tech was able to pin down the problem area and make a solid repair. It was a pain to pull out the harness, but you let us fix it correctly and that repair will last for the reminder of the cars life. BTW; welcome back for the failed smog. Another fix! Jack

Fisk is amazing. I drove my family from Utah to visit family in Brea, when my van's engine caught on fire on the last day of our vacation! We had it towed to Fisk on Sunday (after being recommend to them by three different people). Being from out of town and potentially stuck, I was nervous of being stuck between a rock and a hard place and being taken advantage of. My fears were immediately put to rest when I spoke with Chantel & Jack. My experience was way above normal - from my first impression of the shop to the phone call Monday morning to the follow up phone calls from Jack. I’m not sure how they did it, but I was back on the road by noon on Tuesday. From van on fire on Sunday to on the road on Tuesday… amazing work! And… it is running much better than before. Made it home without a single issue, as if nothing had ever happened. Jack was great to work with, calling me and discussing the process multiple times along the way. Their attention to customer service is superb – from power washing the engine, explaining all work performed, topping off my fluids and even making sure my tires were inflated properly. That is the type of customer service that was once the standard of the industry but is now difficult to find. My only regret is that I don’t live in Fullerton, so I could make Fisk my regular shop! Service was good, price seemed reasonable but you missed the opportunity to 'wow' me. Although the car was ready Thursday evening I told the agent I wouldn't be picking it up until Friday morning. When I got there, the paperwork was not ready. I overheard an agent talking about another car that was about to be washed so (although it hadn't been promised) I was disappointed when my car had not washed. Not a big deal but you could really have impressed me and bought some loyalty by these two very inexpensive acts.

This was my first visit with Fisk Automotive. I had asked my cousin, who is a mechanic himself, for recommendations in the Fullerton area. He said he takes his own cars there. I then asked my co-workers for their choice and it turns out several employees where I work also take their vehicles to Fisk. I now know why so many people turn to them for their car repairs. I have a 2004 Toyota Camry with 147,000 miles on it, and other than regular oil and brake changes, it has never had any type of major work done to it. I could tell that I needed new brakes again and new rotors and thought that it was high time that I looked into getting new shocks. I took my car in with these needing to be looked into. Chantal helped me with intake of my car and later in the day provided with an detailed and explanatory review of what definitely needed to replaced and what could wait until later. I was pleasantly surprised (and somewhat of a financial relief) that I could wait on the shocks as they seemed just fine to the mechanics during the road test. I felt that they looked over my car thoroughly and when I picked it up after work, was able to talk with Marty and Chantal about what should be done in the future for maintenance. I peppered them with questions, and they were able to provide a blueprint of the next items I want to fix and maintain so that my car keeps on running well. I did put my car to the test the day after I got it back, putting on over 200 miles in one day. The gas mileage is much better now after replacing the brakes, rotors and other odds and ends I had done. I was also thankful that were able to provide a ride to my place of work (I work within a few miles) when I dropped my car off in the morning and would have also picked me had I needed it. Highly recommend Fisk Automotive!

I found Fisk from a recommendation and read some reviews online. They were thorough, fast and efficient. But they were pricey. Honestly, I felt I was charged $100 or so more than what other mechanics would have done the same job for, but it would have cost me that much just to tow it somewhere else... If they'd been willing to come off the price I would have given them 5 stars...Only time will tell if I got what I paid for. Overall, I'm not displeased. I just feel serviced. :/

Tyler, thanks for letting us solve your nagging "no crank" condition on your classic 1997 Accord. When you made your appointment, you had already thrown a bunch of parts at it. You did do the right thing by bringing it to a "professional". Everyone else guessed and spent your money needlessly, but we found the problem. We replaced the starter with an OE reman. starter, not a mass merchandiser cheapo unit. Yes quality comes at a price, but know that you had an ASE certified tech work on your car, quality parts installed and a warranty that made our repairs solid. Our '03 Chrysler really need brakes and a new battery (it wouldn't run more than 2 blocks before dying). My fiance's car, which is an older model with ALOT of miles, was doing some funny stuff, trembling and acting strange. We knew of a couple of ongoing leaks and issues, but really, it could've been a host of different problems. Long story short- the car is destined for the scrapyard, but Marty was really helpful and honest, and in the long run he saved me from throwing away alot of money to try and fix it. They only charged me for the evaluation but the good advice was on the house, and they even topped off my fluids for free. These guys are really great. They know their stuff, they're friendly, and they didn't try to take me for a ride. Some other shops are a little cheaper but these guys will take good care of you.

I found out about Fisk by searching shops online close to where I live. Their website was very professional and reviews were good, although you need to take them with a grain of salt. Shop looked clean so first impression was good. Everyone a spoke to was very personable and professional. I was expecting to pay for a full brake job and after they inspected my car determined everything was in good shape and a brake job wasn't needed yet. They could have easily charged me for a full brake job and I probably wouldn't have questioned them. They only charged me for the inspection. I really appreciate their honesty and when the time comes for future service I will be back.

Took a Chrysler 'Flagship' car in because of service needed and to correct on ongoing electrical problem that has been present since we bought it 7 yrs ago. It's seems (so far) the problem has been addressed. Good work done with a detailed explaination of what was done.

We had a problem with our Dodge truck and two other repair shops couldn't seem to fix the problem. The repair bill for the first two shops totaled over a thousand dollars. Fisk and their super mechanic Scott had the problem diagnosed quickly and the repairs were made the same day and on time. The last two times I went to your business for service I am certain I was grossly overcharged. The first visit I had a thermostat installed which I provided. You charged me 97.00 just for that. The second visit I am referring to, You charged me 255.00 just to look it over throughly. That again seems grossly excessive. I have had service performed elsewhere since then. I will probably give you people a try again but am skeptical.

It's unfortunate that this client feels he was "overcharged" He neglects to mention that his truck ran poorly. A driveabilty issue that he thought a "tune up" would take care of turned out to be a faulty sensor. We saved him major $$$ w/o the tune up!

 Anonymous I was making a trip to AZ. Had car serviced and inspected for trip. They performed oil and filter change, tire rotation and battery replacement. Battery was found to be marginal during inspection and I opted for a new. They serviced the A/C since it was little low on freon. Had a great trip with no issues. Thanks to the great staff for making sure the car was safe and in good working order. We will continue to recommend Fisk Automotive to our friends and family.

After getting the blower switch unstuck on my '88 Acura, and a new battery, Fisk was extra speedy fixing the dangling tailpipe when I had to come back the next day !!! In between, I alternated cars to get an oil change on my '93 Aerostar minivan... great efficient repairs and sooooooo convenient. No problem ever too big for FISK to tackle !!! The diagnosis was thorough and free and the repair was just over $250.
